Like so many across Texas, we were devastated by the Fourth of July floods and the catastrophic losses. In our own small way, we want to honor those that were lost in the floods.
Texan Christmas was particularly moved by the 27 angels lost at Camp Mystic and small businesses that showed up early on to help fundraise with Emily Nichols Art being one that really spoke to them.
After being approached multiple times about doing a memorial ornament, Texan Christmas reached out to see if they could use Emily's signature confetti artwork for this project and she generously agreed.
They offered this ornament to their wholesale stores that were interested in raising funds. They donated half of all their profits from these ornaments to the Heaven's 27 Foundation which evenly contributes to the foundations that honor the 27 angels lost at Camp Mystic. They asked that anyone who carries this ornament also donate their profits to this cause or a flood relief fund near to their hearts.
Being so close to the epicenter of the flooding, The Christmas Shoppe has created a Love Fund to donate to one or more families that lost their homes and all their precious Christmas heirlooms. We will be donating all of our profits from this ornament into that Love Fund. We will, then, match every dollar that goes into the Love Fund giving these families the opportunity to shop our store for free to find new Christmas decorations.
