Love Ladybug

Each figure is made of clear red and opaque black and molded to look like cut crystal. They are sure to catch the light in a windowsill. Silver heart rhinestones are attached along their wings to mimic the spots.

The story of how the ladybug got its name: Italian farmers noticed that their crops were being devoured by aphids. Being Catholic, they prayed to the Virgin Mary for deliverance from the pests. Small red bugs soon appeared and began attacking the aphids. The farmers named these little bugs after the one they prayed to, originally Our Lady Bugs, which was shortened to "ladybugs."
