Help us help a family who has lost their Christmas decorations to the Hill Country Flood on July 4th.
We will match every dollar donated so that a family (or two or three) can come shop our store without paying a cent, recreating some of the magic that they lost.
Independence Day seems like it was so long ago, but many of the families who experienced the flooding lost everything they own to the flood, including all their Christmas decorations.
It may seem like such a trivial thing in comparison to the loss of the roof over their head, their means of transportation, clothing, linens, and other necessities, but for most people Christmas decorations are attached to memories. They can include ornaments that were handmade by a child or family heirlooms. They include baby's first Christmas ornaments and celebrations of marriages.
We know we can't replace the items that were lost, but maybe we can find something that represents these items going forward. We, also, believe that helping a family decorate and celebrate might help to restore some normalcy and hope in this chaotic year.
So, join us in creating a magical Christmas for a local family (or two or three). We are partnering with Operation Texas Strong to be matched with families who will most benefit from our Love Fund.
